Welcome to Rest Assured
Editing
Here you can find some guidelines you should
take into consideration when submitting to Rest
Assured Editing.
*
Please re-send your email correspondences after
4 days if you have not received a reply.
*
Authors should send their manuscript saved in
.DOC (Microsoft Word) or .RTF (Rich Text)
format.
*
Rest Assured Editing subscribes to The Chicago
Manual of Style as the standard for grammar and
usage, and NIST in the case of technical and
scientific documents.
*
Rest Assured Editing rigorously practices a
policy of checking all facts, spelling, and
foreign phrases (and to ensure inclusion of
correct special characters where needed).
*
In the case of cited quotes and titles, author
will be advised on the need to obtain permission
to reprint.
*
Edited files can be sent back electronically to
the author in a zipped folder or by individual
chapter files (in doc or RTF format). As an
alternative, Rest Assured Editing can convert
the individual chapter files to a single PDF
file saved onto a CD and mailed to the author.
*
Authors can be assured that their voice, tone,
and preferences in word usage will not be
altered. However, ambiguities in writing will be
corrected and highlighted for sake of clarity.
*
Rest Assured Editing practices a non-judgmental,
supportive approach in the author-editor
relationship.
*
Rest Assured Editing does not provide or claim
to provide services of a literary agent.
Therefore, please do not submit requests for
representation.
